Medical Surgical RN Job Details Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Location: Fargo, ND 58104 (North Dakota healthcare jobs) Facility: Level 1 Trauma Center, Surgical Inpatient Unit (32-bed census) Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract Assignment Duration: 17 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 - End: 2/2/2026) Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12-hour day shifts; every other weekend and holiday required Scheduling: Self-scheduling available; flexibility required to meet unit needs Floating: May float to other Med/Surg units across three Fargo locations Estimated Weekly Salary: $2050-$2200 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota or Compact State Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical RN experience in a large hospital (200+ beds) Current BLS certification (AHA required) Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) documentation Travel nursing experience strongly preferred Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred Ability and willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit across three Fargo locations Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult trauma, medical, and surgical patients Conduct patient assessments, documentation, and education using EPIC EHR Operate inpatient equipment such as AcuDose and other unit-specific tools Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios (Days: 1:4-5, Nights: 1:5-6) Participate in orientation and training, including trauma and orthopedic protocols Comply with facility policies, including badge in/out and navy blue scrub attire Take the next step in your travel nursing career with this Med/Surg RN job in Fargo, ND.
