Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Pediatric Emergency Department, including recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Oversee patient care activities, ensuring compassionate, family-centered, and high-quality care is delivered in a timely manner. Manage daily operations of the department, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards specific to pediatric emergency services. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, and departmental efficiency. Candidate requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in a pediatric emergency or acute care setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications are required. Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or Pediatric Emergency Nursing (CPEN) is preferred.
