Job Description
SGL is seeking a reliable and adaptable Warehouse Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support day-to-day warehouse operations and assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory management to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the warehouse team.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the overall shipping workflow and warehouse operations, including organizing storage, stocking raw materials, and equipment. Load and unload trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Perform rigging duties to safely move, lift, and position heavy equipment and materials for transport or storage. Prepare and package inventory for domestic and international shipping, including boxing, crating, rigging, and blocking/bracing cargo in ocean containers to ensure safe transport. Verify incoming shipments by checking delivery bills and packing lists against received goods, noting discrepancies or damages, and maintaining accurate records. Utilize the company's warehouse and inventory management systems for receiving, tracking, and shipping inventory. Plan and efficiently load ocean containers to maximize space and ensure cargo safety. Track and resolve shipping errors, maintain logs of warehouse stock, and document executed orders. Collaborate closely with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations. Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse safety and operations. Qualifications/ Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, rigging, crane operation, or warehouse operations. Forklift certification is a plus, but not mandatory. Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, lift trucks, and cranes. Ability to work overtime as needed. Knowledge of safety regulations and good housekeeping practices. Basic proficiency in English is required to communicate with internal/external employees and customers. Ability to read, write, comprehend for work-related communication. Must be able to understand basic instructions and guidelines and participate in job-required training and assessments. Ability to be proactive when dealing with customer complaints or requests. Consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts. Physical Requirement:
Able to lift up to 70lbs repetitively during each shift Able to push, pull up to 2500lbs using manual pallet jacks Able to stoop, stretch, twist, bend, etc Consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts Work authorization/security clearance requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States Must pass TSA eligibility screening Job Types:
