Apex Systems is currently looking for a SCADA Applications Engineer for a remote opportunity with a Fortune 200 Renewables and Utilities client. Job#: 2061214 Duration:
1 year contract with perm opportunities Rate:
$60-$75/hr depending on experience Location:
Fully remote or onsite in Juno Beach, FL - 50% travel required Purpose:
Work on behalf of one of the world’s largest renewable energy developers and builders as a SCADA engineer developing and commissioning software and SCADA to control renewable power plants. Responsibilities include: Integrating, programming, commissioning, and testing power plant SCADA systems and RTU. Working with project requirements to integrate renewable power plant in SCADA to control power generation onto the utility grid. Collaborating with in-house resources and vendors to meet project milestones. Designing, integrating, programming, commissioning, and testing power plant controllers and SCADA systems for Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Systems. Reviewing SCADA engineering designs and reporting progress regularly. Preferred Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Automation Systems, with experience in SCADA systems, programming, and commissioning. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with SCADA commissioning and integration, control system architecture, PLC programming, Ignition, OPC protocols, RTU programming, and networking. Knowledge of electrical and communication plans, troubleshooting AC/DC circuits, and renewable SCADA systems. Project management experience handling multiple vendors and consultants. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, work at a desk for extended periods, and operate a vehicle for commuting. Note:
