Details at www.duq.edu/benefits Location: Facilities Management Position Status: Full-time Hours: 8AM-4PM, Monday-Friday Position Number: 637201/40-0248 FLSA Status: Non-exempt POSITION SUMMARY: This position under our Facilities management group will encompass a variety ofduties and responsibilities. DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direct supervision of the Work Leader and the Supervisor, responsibilities include, but are not specificallylimited to the following: sorts allinbound USPS, inter-campus mail and packages as required; prepares mailpackages for campus-wide distribution; maintains a safe and secure workingenvironment; loading and unloading mail from USPS, UPS, FedEx and Amazonweighing 50 lbs. without assistance; utilizes software to track packages andmail; prepares and meters all outbound mail packages; completes work order andother paperwork and adheres to procedures and regulations; performs any dataentry functions necessary to track or charge back services; prepares relatedwork as required by Work Leader or Supervisor, i.e., prepares bulk mailings, preparesinter-campus mailings, meter mail, scan packages and mail out to students. Completes other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.Relevant workexperience involving mail service and delivery.Preferred qualifications: Vocational, trade school training experience is preferred. Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination ofexperience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilitiesrequired to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is notlimited to, the following: Good physicalcondition with the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance;knowledge of domestic and international rates, post office procedures andprocedures for certified and registered mail is preferred; ability to workflexible hours; ability to work well with others, as well as independently;strong integrity and dependability and a willingness to follow instructions andhandle related work as required. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with theUniversity Community.
