OSITIONSUMMARY:

General maintenancemechanic duties as assigned by a Maintenance Supervisor in areas of heating,cooling, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and general construction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will cover a variety of duties throughout campus as it relates tomaintenance and general construction.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two years ofrelated experience in maintenance or construction.

Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination ofexperience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilitiesrequired to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is notlimited to, the following:

General knowledge of heating and cooling systems, plumbing systems, electricaland pneumatic systems, and general construction.

Knowledge of and ability to use hand and portable electrical tools.

Willingness towork overtime and holidays; and ability to work well with others.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with theUniversity Community.

Ability and willingness to contribute actively to the mission of the Universityand to respect the Spiritan Catholic identity of Duquesne University.
