By joining the Division of Forestry and Forest Protection Branch as an Administrative Specialist III in FranklinCounty, you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to ensuring the programmatic integrity ofnumerous forestry related programs, and the consistent delivery of services to the public. During theperformance of your assigned duties, you will interact on a daily and weekly basis with not only the public, butwith branch personnel, branch management, and the division's program staff.
This is a grant funded time-limited (GFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a grant. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to a GFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to a GFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non-merit) employee. A GFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position.
Holders of the Administrative Specialist Senior position will complete tasks such as: Provides professional administrative support to the Forest Protection Branch. Ensures the administrative consistency and integrity of reported branch information regarding variousdivision programs and projects, including: Wildland Fire Management, Firefighter Property Program (FFP),Federal Excess Personal Property Program (FEPP), and Forest Health. Reconciles Out-of-Sate and All-Hazard Travel Reimbursements. Processes and maintains branch documentation, reports, and digital communications related to the numerousfederal grants the division manages, and division programs that receive federal support. Provides direct support to the branch staff with vehicle and inventory tracking, and reconcilesdiscrepancies. Provides primary oversight for the branch filing system, as well as its records, reports, andcorrespondence. Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:
Ability to work independently Effective communication, organization, and documentation skills Proficient knowledge and use of information technology EEC participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirmthat you are authorized to work in the U.S. EEC will only use E-Verify once you have accepted a job offer andcompleted the Form I-9. Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions
