Job Summary:
This role will oversee daily accounting activities, manage a team of accountants, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to support business objectives and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with finance leadership.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function.
Stay current with accounting standards and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
