The

Systems Manager

is responsible for the planning, implementation, management, and support of the university's enterprise systems and technology infrastructure. This position ensures the security, availability, and efficiency of campus-wide systems that support academic, administrative, and research functions. The Systems Manager will oversee system integrations, manage vendor relationships, and collaborate with stakeholders across the university to align IT services with institutional goals.

Responsibilities

Oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, LMS, HRIS, CRM, and related applications). Manage system upgrades, patching, and security updates to ensure stability and compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to identify system needs and deliver technology solutions that improve efficiency and user experience. Supervise and provide leadership to systems administrators and support staff, ensuring professional development and accountability. Develop and maintain system documentation, policies, and procedures in alignment with IT governance standards. Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations (FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.), and university IT policies. Manage vendor contracts, licenses, and service agreements; serve as the primary liaison with external technology partners. Lead system integration projects, ensuring interoperability between university applications and third-party tools. Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive IT systems administration/management experience, preferably in higher education. Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
