Work model:
On-Site What you will do: Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution Support labor relations activities, including contract interpretation, grievance handling, and union communications Administer HR policies and procedures consistently across the facility Partner with supervisors and managers to coach on performance management and employee development Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for hourly and salaried staff Support safety initiatives, attendance tracking, and disciplinary processes Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure smooth HR operation Contribute to HR reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives What you will need to be successful: 5-7 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong background in labor relations and employee relations, including union experience Working knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRA, etc.) Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills Ability to build trust and credibility with employees at all levels Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred Benefits overview: Health, dental, and vision insurance PTO 401k Interested and qualified candidates can contact Maddie Hodgson at (515) 225-7000 or email mhodgson @thepalmergroup.com .
