Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver hands-on training in foundational technical skills required for manufacturing and assembly operations. This role is responsible for preparing, facilitating, and evaluating training programs that build competency in tool use, workmanship, workplace organization, and process compliance. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and instructional experience to help prepare participants for success in precision-driven assembly environments. This position requires shift flexibility and the ability to work days, nights or weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver structured training sessions covering: Basic use of hand tools and measurement instruments. Proper interpretation and execution of written assembly instructions. Application of 6S workplace organization principles. Metric-to-standard conversions and accurate documentation. Workmanship standards and quality assurance practices. Calibration awareness and its role in accuracy and compliance. Torque application, bonding, surface preparation, and adhesive mixing. Provide demonstrations, guided practice, and competency assessments. Adapt training delivery to diverse learning styles and skill levels. Develop and maintain training materials, lesson plans, and visual aids. Reinforce industry and organizational standards for safety, precision, and product quality. Evaluate learner progress and provide constructive feedback. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to align training with operational requirements. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent Mechanical or electrical experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related fields required. Proven teaching, training, or facilitation experience (5+ years) Ability to translate complex processes into clear, step-by-step instruction Familiarity with workplace organization systems (6S/5S), quality standards, and basic measurement practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate learners. Military training experience is a plus. Experience with technical documentation, calibration practices, or aerospace/electronics assembly is highly desirable. Soft Skills
Hands-on, practical approach with attention to detail. Strong sense of accountability for accuracy, compliance, and quality. Ability to foster a culture of learning, safety, and continuous improvement.
