Since 1963, Sheakley has been a trusted leader in safety management across construction, industrial, and high-risk environments. We are hiring both a Lead Safety Manager and a Field Safety Manager to support a structural steel contractor on a Microsoft data center build in Racine, WI.

These roles are ideal for safety professionals with strong structural steel experience (from columns to decking) who can manage safety compliance in a fast-paced data center environment. The Lead Safety Manager will run daily operations for the client, while the Field Safety Manager will provide hands-on safety oversight in the field. Compensation:

Rate:

$45-$48/hour (based on experience) Per Diem:

Monday-Friday, weekends as needed Project Scope:

This project involves the erection of structural steel for a Microsoft data center, including: Daily site walks and structural steel safety oversight Toolbox talks, orientations, and safety training Completion of safety reports, permits, and documentation Enforcement of OSHA 1926 and site-specific safety protocols Participation in meetings with owners' representatives Assistance with incident investigations, permits, and planning Balance of 60-80% field presence and 20-40% office duties Qualifications: •OSHA 30 (Required) •OSHA 500/510 and BCSP certifications (Preferred, not mandatory) •Strong structural steel experience is mandatory (columns through decking) •Data center project experience preferred Additional Requirements: •Must be able to work independently and manage both field and office responsibilities •Reliable transportation to and from jobsite •Strong communication and leadership skills •Ability to pass background check and drug screening Key Responsibilities: Conduct and document jobsite inspections Lead daily toolbox talks and safety briefings Coordinate safety compliance with contractors and trade partners Track and report corrective actions and near misses Promote a proactive, zero-incident safety culture Knowledge Base:

Strong working knowledge of

OSHA 1926 Subparts C, D, E, K, M, and R , with emphasis on structural steel erection and safety leadership in large-scale data center construction. Equal Opportunity:
