We are seeking a Safety Manager to provide comprehensive safety oversight for structural steel work at a new data center in Reno, NV. This role is ideal for experienced safety professionals with expertise working alongside steel contractors. Compensation: ???? Rate: $50-$52/hr ???? Per Diem: $125/day ???? Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: ???? Hours: 50-60 hrs/week ???? Schedule: Monday-Friday | Some weekends required Project Scope: This project involves safety management for structural steel installation at a new data center. Responsibilities include overseeing steel contractor safety compliance, conducting site inspections, providing safety training, enforcing OSHA and site-specific protocols, and maintaining safety documentation. Qualifications: ? BCSP Certification or ? Four-year degree in Safety or related field Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily safety inspections and hazard assessments for structural steel activities
Manage contractor safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training sessions
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and corrective action documentation
Coordinate safety procedures with project leadership and contractors
Support incident investigations and recommend corrective actions
Skills: Strong knowledge of construction safety practices specific to structural steel
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Proficient in OSHA compliance and contractor safety management
Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple contractors and stakeholders
Knowledge Base: Comprehensive understanding of OSHA standards and safety regulations related to structural steel construction.
