About the Role:
The Night Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial and operational transition between business days at Tuscaloosa Hospitality LLC. This position is responsible for accurately reconciling daily accounts, auditing financial transactions, and preparing detailed reports that support management decision-making. The Night Auditor also provides exceptional guest service during overnight hours, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction. By combining accounting expertise with front desk operations, the Night Auditor ensures both financial integrity and seamless guest experiences. This role is essential in maintaining the overall efficiency and reputation of the accommodation services during the night shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
Experience with front desk operations or customer service in the hospitality industry.
Proficiency in using property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work overnight shifts and maintain attention to detail during late hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Accounting, or related field.
Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role within the accommodation industry.
Familiarity with hotel management software such as Opera, Maestro, or similar platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
Certification in hospitality or accounting-related courses.
Responsibilities:
Perform nightly audit of all financial transactions, including reconciling accounts and verifying accuracy of charges.
Prepare and distribute detailed daily financial and operational reports to management.
Manage front desk operations during overnight hours, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and handling reservations.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints to ensure a positive experience.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms and facilities meet quality standards.
Monitor security and safety protocols throughout the property during the night shift.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and incidents occurring during the shift.
