Human Resources Generalist

Reports to: HR Division Manager

Introduction

The Human Resources Generalist reports to the HR Division Manager and provides support to the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for facilitating new hire orientation, supporting FMLA & benefit enrollment meetings, assisting with I-9 compliance, and preparing and processing routine payroll. It also involves coordinating events, creating reports, supporting associates' surveys, and assisting with interviews, as well as any other tasks assigned by the HR Division Manager.

Organizational Description

NX Automotive Logistics (NXAL) functions within a dynamic warehouse or manufacturing environment, where associates may encounter moderate levels of dust, dirt, and odors generated by packaging materials and propane-powered forklifts. Additionally, ambient noise from production equipment is a common aspect of the workplace. Temperature conditions fluctuate throughout the year. Associates are frequently required to operate computers and scanners, read, write, and engage in direct communication-both in person and through various digital and telecommunication platforms.

Roles/Responsibilities/Functions Facilitates new hire orientation. Supports benefit enrollment and conducts benefit classes. Responds to associates' benefit-related questions and/or concerns. Assists with FMLA process, including tracking, time and attendance, and associate communication. Creates HR Yodeck and napkin holder displays for wellness initiatives. Assist with I-9 compliance and documentation. Supports the preparation of manpower reports and weekly presentations to management. Supports new hire surveys. Ensures associate records are maintained. Conduct interviews and collaborate with hiring managers to review candidates. Maintains applicant tracking and HR Stats. Responds to associates' benefit-related questions and/or concerns. Assists with recruiting events Maintains all HR department policies and SOPs. Support other HR managers with project coordination, tracking progress, and managing deadlines. Provides verbal/written translation functions for HR activities. Supports company events and associate appreciation functions. Assist the HR Division Manager with various HR projects and initiatives. Enter and update associate hours, timecards, and payroll data into the system accurately. Assist in preparing and processing routine payroll runs under supervision. Answer questions related to paychecks, timesheets, and basic deductions. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Proficiency in translating documents from English to Spanish. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to travel as needed to support hiring efforts. Bilingual in English/Spanish is required.
