World 50 Group is seeking a Director of Compensation & Benefits to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of compensation strategies that drive fairness, performance, and competitiveness. With a strong emphasis on compensation design, pay equity, and data-driven decision-making, this role will play a central part in shaping how we attract, reward, and retain top talent. The ideal candidate is a compensation expert with strategic vision, analytical depth, and the ability to influence across the organization.
Reporting to the Managing Director of People & Culture, this leader will ensure that our compensation philosophy is aligned with business objectives, market trends, and our commitment to equity and transparency. The position will also oversee benefits administration, though with a primary emphasis on compensation innovation and effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Compensation Strategy & Leadership Design, evolve, and execute a comprehensive, scalable compensation strategy that aligns with World 50's growth goals and talent philosophy. Develop and manage global base salary structures, job architecture, market pricing, merit increases, bonus plans, and equity programs. Ensure compensation practices are externally competitive, internally equitable, and legally compliant across all geographies. Serve as the organization's internal expert on compensation trends, tools, and emerging best practices. Data-Driven Program Management Lead market benchmarking, pay equity reviews, and compensation surveys to provide actionable insights and maintain competitiveness. Build dashboards and reporting tools to assess compensation program effectiveness and inform executive decision-making. Partner with Finance to manage compensation budgets and ensure fiscal alignment. Governance, Policy, and Compliance Create and maintain compensation policies and frameworks that support consistency, fairness, and clarity across the organization. Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and international regulations. Support internal and external audits, and prepare compensation materials for the executive team and Board, as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication Support managers and HR business partners with tools and training to make informed compensation decisions. Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and People teams to ensure effective implementation of all programs. Lead communication of compensation programs to drive transparency, understanding, and employee trust. Benefits Oversight Provide strategic direction and oversight for benefits programs (health, retirement, and voluntary offerings), ensuring alignment with total rewards strategy. Monitor benefit utilization and vendor performance and lead the annual renewal and open enrollment processes. Key Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related field. Master's preferred. 7-10+ years of progressive experience, with a strong focus on compensation strategy, design, and execution. Expertise in job leveling, benchmarking, market pricing, and compensation analytics. Solid understanding of benefits programs and relevant legal frameworks. Proficiency in compensation systems, HRIS tools, and data visualization platforms. Skills Strategic mindset with deep technical expertise in compensation. Strong analytical and financial skills with experience translating data into insights. Exceptional communication and influencing abilities; able to present to senior leadership with confidence.
