DescriptionAbout the Role At Vaulted, we have an aggressive plan to rapidly grow our team and subsequent climate impact. As the Offsite Operations Manager, you will be responsible for estimating material volumes, managing daily goals, overseeing crews and equipment maintenance, and ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation to the main location that strategically aligns with business objectives and growth plans. Responsibilities include: Site Visits and Operations Oversight: Conduct frequent visits to the offsite location to monitor daily operations, ensuring that the operation is running efficiently. Address any issues in real-time to maintain productivity. Local Operations Collaboration: Keep the Local Operations Manager fully informed about the status of the offsite operation, including any challenges, progress, and potential issues. Provide regular updates on key performance metrics. Operations Meetings: Attend daily operations meetings to report on offsite progress, collaborate with other teams, and discuss any immediate needs or concerns. Coordination with Crews: Work closely with the offsite teams to set daily operational goals, monitor progress, and ensure that targets are met in a timely manner. Maintenance Coordination: Track and coordinate the maintenance of equipment used in the offsite operation. Work with suppliers and third-party vendors to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired as needed to prevent downtime. Volume Estimation: Accurately estimate and track the volume of materials ready for shipment to the main location. Logistics Coordination: Work with the logistics team to manage the transportation of materials, ensuring that the appropriate number of trucks are scheduled for timely material pickups. Coordinate truck availability and ensure optimal routes for delivery. Material Sourcing: Source and manage all necessary materials, including spare parts, to ensure the smooth running of operations. Work with suppliers to obtain the required materials and ensure their timely delivery to the site. Fuel Coordination: Organize and coordinate fuel delivery to the offsite location to ensure uninterrupted operations. Maintain records of fuel usage and ensure timely restocking as needed. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all offsite operations comply with company safety protocols and regulatory standards. Regularly inspect the offsite location for safety risks and take corrective actions as necessary. What You Will Bring To succeed in this role, and to help the company to succeed in our mission, the Offsite Operation Manager must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several priorities while communicating across operations. They must also thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with a growing team of ever-changing needs. In addition, we seek a candidate with the following: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; however, years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or a related field. Proven experience in managing offsite operations, including crew coordination and material management. Strong analytical and organizational skills to estimate material volumes, manage logistics, and track maintenance activities. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and third-party vendors. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, especially when on-site. Comfortable with frequent travel to the offsite locations (typically a 1-2 hour drive) and the ability to work in remote environments. Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to logistics and operations management. Passion for and commitment to sustainability and the work of climate change mitigation. Knowledge of carbon removal is helpful, but not necessary.
