Oxford Solutions is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in analog design to join our client's team. This is a direct hire, hands-on role with approximately 50% of time spent on the production floor and about one week of travel each month.
Responsibilities
Prepare designs for inductors and magnetic devices for customers and prospects Provide quick and accurate design support, ranging from full/preliminary designs to follow-up inquiries Package design proposals to generate positive customer responses Maintain and improve inductor design software; research and develop new tools as needed Support production teams in the US and China, anticipating and answering technical questions Learn and apply hands-on use of electrical test tools to ensure design validation Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to support sourcing of materials and components Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics (EET preferred) Hands-on analog design experience required Experience in power design, transformer/inductor design, or electrical product testing strongly preferred Strong problem-solving and communication skills Willingness to travel approximately 25% (1 week per month)
