Search Solution Group is seeking an
EHS Coordinator
on behalf of our client, a flat-rolled metals service center and trading company. This entry-level role supports the Corporate EHS team in implementing and improving Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. The EHS Coordinator will play a vital role in promoting a strong safety culture, supporting compliance initiatives, and maintaining accurate data and reporting across all operational sites.
Key Responsibilities: Collect, manage, and report environmental, health, and safety data across all facilities
Maintain internal EHS tracking systems and assist with regulatory compliance reporting
Support facility teams with safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
Develop and deliver safety training materials and toolbox talks
Collaborate with site-level EHS contacts to ensure program consistency
Support environmental initiatives, including waste reduction and emissions tracking
Maintain EHS documentation related to OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies
Assist in internal and external communications, including safety signage and updates
Organize employee engagement campaigns focused on health, safety, and environment
Respond to employee safety and environmental inquiries
Participate in risk assessments and emergency preparedness planning
Perform other duties as needed to support EHS goals
Requirements Include:
Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field
Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
Experience: Entry-level to 2 years of experience in EHS or related roles preferred
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with EHS software is a plus
Certifications: Not required but knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and similar regulations is preferred
Knowledge: Familiarity with EHS regulations and industry best practices
Key Competencies: Detail-oriented and organized
Self-motivated and collaborative
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Comfortable in office and industrial settings
Passion for promoting workplace safety and sustainability
