Our client, a well-established manufacturing leader, is looking to bring on a Senior Buyer with proven experience sourcing resins for manufacturing purposes. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies for resin commodities aligned with company objectives and market dynamics Build and manage strong relationships with global suppliers to ensure delivery, performance, and innovation Lead price and contract negotiations, optimizing cost while maintaining quality and reliability Monitor and report on global resin markets, trends, risks, and pricing opportunities Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support product launches and ongoing material needs Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through dual sourcing and inventory strategies Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier performance dashboards Communicate procurement performance and market insights to senior leadership Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and industry standards Support sustainable procurement by evaluating and sourcing recycled or eco-friendly resin alternatives Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree 3+years of hands-on experience purchasing resins for plastics manufacturing/molding 1+yr of automotive manufacturing experience Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier development skills Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, CPP/CPPM, or CIPS) Experience working with global suppliers in regions such as Asia, Europe, or North America Familiarity with sustainability trends in plastics and resins Experience conducting supplier audits and leading corrective actions Proficiency in developing and maintaining commodity cost models and market analysis reports Titles Encouraged to Apply
