Job Title
Responsibilities I. Job Summary/Responsibilities: Manages the daily operations and directs the administration, management, coordination and integration of programs, regarding patient care activities and services for the areas assigned. Ensures functions, services, programs, and activities support short and long-range strategic plans and meet the goals and objectives of The Queen's Medical Center (QMC) and The Queen's Health Systems (QHS). Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and policies and procedures of QMC and QHS. Develops, coordinates, implements, and assesses for effectiveness, programs and projects to promote, enhance, and expand services provided for areas assigned. II. Typical Physical Demands: Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Frequent: walking. Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object. Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printer. III. Typical Working Conditions: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Work environment is fast paced and may be stressful. Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at any given time. IV. Minimum Qualifications: A. Education/Certification and Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Business, Nursing Healthcare Management or related field. Master's degree in Business, Nursing, Healthcare Management or related field preferred. Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse highly desirable. B. Experience: Minimum two (2) years supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting, medical office or clinic environment. Experience to demonstrate the following: o Solid knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) and/or other information systems functionality including access and maintenance of the system controls. o Strong leadership, facilitation and project management skills. o Skill in dealing with multi-disciplinary teams and an appreciation in working effectively with competing priorities. o Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
