Library Science Faculty will: Teach two or more MLS courses per semester within their subject area, pending enrollment and program need. Assist in developing and refining a graduate curriculum that meets American Library Association (ALA) standards. Work closely with MLS adjuncts, graduate assistants, and other staff. Assist the director with the ALA accreditation process. Embed assessment functions in courses and gather artifacts for annual MU assessment reporting and ALA accreditation. Collaborate with teams overseeing student advising, internships, and placements. Assist with marketing and recruitment efforts. Participate in faculty governance, university service, and scholarly activities as per the University Library Faculty Handbook. Perform traditional library duties as needed based on expertise. This is a 12-month, non-tenured appointment in the West Virginia University System, renewed annually through peer review. The position involves active participation in university service and may include traditional library duties. Additional Responsibilities
Perform routine library duties or lead special projects. Work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Organize information, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. Demonstrate strong information literacy and technology skills. Participate in campus and university committees and activities. Position Details
