The primary responsibility of the maintenance technician is to perform the various tasks required to maintain and repair production process equipment and factory facilities.

Responsibilities Related to the Job:

Ensure compliance with all safety rules and use of proper PPE Adhere to Cardinal Safety Rules; follow all standard operating procedures. Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and assist team in more complex PMs and repairs to onsite electrical, mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic production equipment. Requires ON-CALL responsibilities on a rotational basis; work closely with other teams to maintain 24-hours production operations Social Responsibilities:

Maintain compliance with policies and procedures, management systems, and all applicable Environmental, Health, Safety other regulations. Required Qualifications and Knowledge:

High school diploma, or equivalency; graduate of a technical school or apprenticeship in an applicable maintenance discipline (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, plumbing, controls) a plus 1-3 years in industrial maintenance or related experience; 3-5 years a plus Valid driver's license; technical certification in a related maintenance field a plus Travel Requirements:

None Competencies/Job Skills:

Effective verbal/written communication skills; Ability to read and understand all necessary technical manuals and maintenance procedures; blueprint and machine technical specification reading skills a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy; familiarity with computer systems and CMMS a plus Able to prioritize, organize, and multitask under time constraints; must thrive in a team environment. Proper use of hand tools, power tools, test instruments and shop math; Operate mobile equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.); welding and/or PLC programming experience a plus. Physical Demands:

Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift and move continually during a 10-hour shift. Able to climb stairs and vertical ladders; is subject to lifting 55 lbs. Works in non-temperature-controlled environment Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, and fumes. Material present in workplace (typically contained in raw material): Ba, Ca, Sr, CeOx, A1203, and other trace elements or compound of PbO, NiO. Additional chemicals in some production areas: Acetic and Sulfuric Acid, Sodium Hypochlorite, all handled with protective equipment. All noise exposure is below 85 db TWA The wearing of the following PPE required: hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection. Respirator, gloves, coat, face shield required based on exposure. May be required to perform work-necessitating entry into confined spaces or at elevations requiring fall protection and work involving live electrical circuits.

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:

This position shall maintain compliance with all Federal, State and Local Environmental, Health & Safety Regulations, at all times. The employee in this position shall maintain compliance with all Vibrantz Cardinal Safety Rules as well as EHS rules/requirements/training of the site at all times.
