Position Overview
Stripling's General Store is seeking a dependable and hardworking
Full-Time Janitor
to join our team. The Janitor plays a key role in keeping our store clean, safe, and welcoming for both customers and staff. This position requires attention to detail, consistency, and pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the store.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain overall cleanliness of the store, including restrooms, floors, break areas, and common spaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces to ensure a spotless environment.
Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and ensure proper disposal.
Break down and dispose of cardboard boxes.
Restock supplies in restrooms and employee areas as needed.
Clean windows, doors, and entryways to maintain a welcoming appearance.
Monitor and address spills, messes, or safety hazards promptly.
Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting needed repairs.
Uphold Stripling's standards for cleanliness, quality, and safety at all times.
Support the team by helping with seasonal or special cleaning projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, and stand for long periods.
Reliable, punctual, and committed.
Friendly and professional attitude when around customers and coworkers.
The pay range for this position begins at $14.00 per hour and varies based on the experience of the applicant.
