Job Responsibilities Perform thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical examinations and detailed assessments of their medical histories Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through the analysis of imaging studies and lab results Work closely with surgeons in crafting and executing tailored surgical treatment plans Provide vital intraoperative assistance, from preparing the operating room to ensuring the patient is properly positioned and effectively handing off surgical instruments throughout procedures Administer exceptional pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication distribution, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education Education Requirements
A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgical procedures is highly preferred Necessary Certifications
Current and unrestricted
PA-C
certification BLS
and
ACLS
certification required State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant Key Skills
