Position Summary:
The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for providing consultation to the President of LRH on all clinical matters in pursuing the organization's mission to provide quality, compassionate, and accessible healthcare in a manner that brings value to all. The CMO plays a key role in the development of a regional health care system through supporting a system wide organizational culture that fosters cooperation and harmonious relations between system and hospital corporations, their employees and management and medical staffs. The CMO guides the coordination, integration, and standardization of clinical activities designed to meet LRH's mission while optimizing operations across all entities.
Primary Responsibilities: The Chief Medical Officer is responsible to the President of Littleton Regional Healthcare. Works closely with the President and chairpersons of the standing medical committees as well as other medical, clinical and management staff of Littleton Regional Healthcare and North Country Healthcare. Works with other system CMO's to resolve issues related to the delivery of clinical services among the system facilities. Assists in strategic planning to provide new services or provides existing services in an effective manner. Assists in determining the impact of change on clinical services and how to adjust to that change. Assists in determining how to monitor and maintain or improve the quality of care provided. Assists in identifying leakage of services from the system. Assists in determining how to augment and improve the delivery system to capture lost services. Assists the Chairpersons of standing committees, Heads of Service and Directors to ensure that high quality and effective care is provided in a collaborative and professional manner within each service, hospital and system. Qualifications:
Medical degree and Current New Hampshire License A member of the active medical staff and must maintain a clinical practice at LRH. Previous experience of two years preferred in administrative and quality matters. Assigned Meetings
