About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to provide expert consultation on all clinical matters and to play a pivotal role in the development of a regional healthcare system. The CMO will be responsible for fostering a system-wide organizational culture that promotes cooperation and harmonious relations among all healthcare entities. This includes guiding the coordination, integration, and standardization of clinical activities to ensure the delivery of quality, compassionate, and accessible healthcare. The successful candidate will work closely with the President and other medical and management staff to resolve issues related to the delivery of clinical services, assist in strategic planning, and monitor and improve the quality of care provided.
Applicants for the Chief Medical Officer position at the company must hold a medical degree, have a current New Hampshire license, and be a member of the active medical staff with a clinical practice at the organization. A minimum of two years' previous experience in administrative and quality matters is preferred. The role involves attending various assigned meetings, including system meetings, quality oversight committee, peer review, and medical executive committee. The CMO will also work with the Chairpersons of standing committees, Heads of Service, and Directors to ensure that high-quality and effective care is delivered in a collaborative and professional manner across the system.
