Material PlannerPrimary Function: As a member of our Supply Chain team, the Material Planner is responsible for managing the supply of raw materials and components from our suppliers, ensuring material availability for successful completion of the production schedule for on-time shipment to our customers. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and will work collaboratively with production, quality, scheduling, warehouse, inventory control, logistics, sourcing, engineering, and accounting.Responsibilities:Ensures all materials are available on-time and in-full for completion of production schedules with the manufacturing operationCoordinates with master schedulers and production team to ensure daily schedules are metWorks closely with suppliers to communicate requirements and ensure on time delivery performance and positive working relationshipUtilizes Oracle MRP to plan supply of raw materials and release purchase orders to suppliersVerifies PO acknowledgements and on time shipment/ASN from suppliersManages MRP exceptions on a routine basis and reschedules PO's accordinglyEscalates any supply related issue or late shipments, and expedite delivery if necessaryManages supplier inventory levels to achieve inventory targets by supplier and categoryMaintains accuracy of bill of materials and item master parameters such as lead time, safety stock, min/max, order qty, multipliers, etcCoordinates with inbound logistics to ensure on time delivery of materialsCoordinates with the inventory control team to maintain inventory accuracyCoordinates with the warehouse team to ensure proper safety, packaging, and storage requirements are met by suppliersDrives continuous improvement ideas and supports projects to improve business operationsJob Requirements:Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field is preferred2+ years of material planning experience in a manufacturing environmentMRP planning experience in Oracle or similar system is requiredProficient in Microsoft Office with strong experience in ExcelMust have strong written and verbal communication skillsMust have strong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust be a team player who works well with othersAbout the Company:Throughout a history dating back to 1881, Bradford White Corporation has been manufacturing some of the most high-performing, technologically advanced, and energy-saving products to the world market.
