POSITIONSUMMARY:

As the primarycustomer service representative for the office, this person will serve as firstpoint of contact with the Office of Medical Education. As a result, thisindividual will direct incoming calls to the appropriate person or department,respond to incoming departmental emails, assist with the development andimplementation of academic and curricular schedules, take meeting notes asneeded, and follow up with phone calls, emails, and official writtencommunications.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct incoming calls to the appropriate person or department, respond toincoming departmental emails, assist with the development and implementation ofacademic and curricular schedules, take meeting notes as needed, and follow upwith phone calls, emails, and official written communications.

Assists with thedaily operation of the curriculum for the first and second year, including therecording of lectures and taking attendance; assists with the proctoring of allexams and quizzes; assists with the management of the first- and second-year Canvascourses; assists with updating and managing DUQCOM's curriculum map in One45.

Attendsdepartment meetings, records minutes, and provides updates as needed.

Picks up anddistributes mail.

Processes alldepartment purchase invoices.

Works collaboratively with other departments throughout the College andon-campus.

Workscollaboratively with other administrative assistants throughout the College andon-campus;

Works collaboratively with other departments throughout the Collegeand on-campus.

Completes otherduties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, communication, business or a related field froman accredited institution.

1-3 years of related work experience.

Alternately, thesuccessful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience andtraining, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required toperform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not limited to, thefollowing:

Experience andtraining in an office environment, with knowledge, skills and abilitiesrequired to perform the essential job functions. This includes demonstratedproficiency with current Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Teams, Access, and Publisher as well as Outlook e-mail. Willingness andability to utilize new technologies relevant to the position.

Knowledge of, orthe ability to learn internal University and COM systems including WebAdmit,Slate, Chrome River, Banner, Canvas, and others.

Excellentorganizational skills, accuracy, diplomacy, and good interpersonal skills.

The candidatewill exhibit independence and working within established policies, whilecooperating with other staff of the COM and the University, in support of theirmissions.

This positionrequires a high level of administrative and customer service support skills, asthe position requires extensive contact with students, faculty, and staff.

Schedulingflexibility is a must. Overtime may be required during peak event times duringthe year. Must be mobileand have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. It requires the ability to traveland enter facilities which may not be ADA compliant.
