Description Assess patients across various age demographics, utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods to gather data. Create tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Implement individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to ensure integrated care approaches. Provide education to patients and their families, promoting progress and understanding outside of therapy sessions. Conduct intermittent inpatient evaluations and treatment, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's rehabilitation journey. Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Stay informed about advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred certification in Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire. Skills
