Burns & McDonnell, a premier provider of engineering consulting services since 1898, is seeking an experienced Staff Structural Engineer to join our team in our Dallas/Fort Worth office. We are looking for top performers, preferably with experience in the Global Facilities Markets. This position involves performing structural analysis, design, and construction phase services for power generation and manufacturing facilities, data centers, and other buildings. Responsibilities
Plan, conduct, and coordinate work requiring judgment, independent evaluation, and adaptation of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Perform work involving conventional engineering practices, possibly with complex features. Possess general knowledge of precedents in specialty areas and familiarity with basic principles in related specialties. Coordinate departmental and divisional project studies and prepare reports. Successfully solve difficult problems requiring adaptation and modification of standard techniques, devising new approaches as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 3 years of experience, or Master's Degree in Structural Engineering with 2 years of experience. Additional skills include strong knowledge of engineering techniques, excellent communication skills, proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA 3D, ETABS, SAFE, Revit, Tekla), and attention to detail. EIT certification is preferred.
