BlackRock's Outsourced Platform Services (OPS) is responsible for the middle and back office services in support of BlackRock Solution's outsourcing services businesses worldwide. OPS spans data and security master management, transaction management, collateral management, payments, corporate actions, reconciliations, alternative operations, and investment accounting functions. OPS is situated globally to provide operational excellence to our partners and clients. OPS's Global Corporate Actions team has primary operating centers in Edinburgh, Scotland (EMEA), Wilmington, Delaware (AMRS), and Gurgaon, India (APAC). Our objective is to lead and provide a high-quality Corporate Action service assuring standard methodology through the application of governance and controls designed to mitigate risk to the Firm and our Clients. Our team operates as a single, global entity designed around a robust and mature "pass-the-book" philosophy allowing the effective and controlled transition of workload across our primary locations. As a Vice President in Corporate Actions, the candidate will be based in our Wilmington, Delaware location. Reporting to the OPS Global Asset Servicing Head, a successful candidate will play a pivotal role in engaging with the global management team. The position will have direct responsibility for the full Corporate Action lifecycle and team. The team's primary function is to ensure that all event-related corporate action activity within client Aladdin environments are validated and the subsequent cash or stock entitlements are processed accurately and timely. You will lead processing and technology improvement efforts to drive efficiencies and increase STP within the business unit. The role requires focused interaction with other OPS teams and partners to manage Corporate Action activity. You will be responsible for building strategic relationships with BlackRock's partners and clients at a senior level and will need vision, energy, and passion to optimize the operational platform and successfully deliver results to our clients. Key responsibilities include: Provide management and oversight of daily production activity. Manage the escalation of operational risk Manage reconciliation discrepancies Build and maintain constructive relationships with key internal and external contacts and partners. Drive local, regional, and global initiatives and projects. Maintain awareness of industry changes and how they impact Corporate Actions, Global Investment Operations, and BlackRock. Develop automation and efficiency initiatives to provide a scalable platform and reduce risk in our business. Develop team performance to ensure adherence to organization and individual objectives. Experience: 7 10 years of proven experience in a Corporate Actions leadership role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of brokerage or investment operations. Experience developing and leading high-performing teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, emphasis on Excel. Proven track record in delivering on major projects in a fast-paced environment. Understand the risks inherent to corporate actions. For Wilmington, DE only, the salary range for this position is $117,500.00 - $173,500.00. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department, and individual performance.
