Job Story The Public Policy and Management Center (PPMC) at Wichita State University is looking for an undergraduate student to support our Communications team as they work to amplify our community impact and organizational mission.

This position will assist with creating, coordinating, and sharing communications materials that tell the story of PPMC's work and strengthen engagement with our partners and the public.

Job Summary A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties • Creating written and / or visual content across platforms

• Developing digital content for social media

• Assisting with content / design for presentations related to client deliverables and marketing efforts

• Assisting with multi-channel distribution and campaign execution

The Communications team works to effectively share PPMC's work, impact, and opportunities with diverse audiences including community partners, stakeholders, funders, and the broader public.

Required Education High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.

Additional Requirements The Ideal Candidate for this position is creative, organized, and a collaborative worker with strong attention to detail. You should be comfortable with basic design and formatting tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office), able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and committed to public service.
