A respected hospital laboratory in Forest Hills, TN is seeking a full-time Pathologists' Assistant to support its surgical pathology services. This position offers a consistent 2nd shift schedule, ideal for candidates seeking a later workday while working closely with experienced pathologists and lab staff.
Location:
On-site in Forest Hills, TN Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Collaborative team, advanced technology, and diverse case mix What You'll Do: Perform gross examination and description of surgical specimens
Assist with intraoperative consultations, including frozen sections
Accession and prepare tissue for histological processing
Ensure accurate specimen documentation and proper labeling
Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, and lab safety standards
Work closely with pathologists and histotechnologists to support diagnostic workflows

Job Requirements
What You'll Need:
Master's degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program (required) ASCP PA certification or eligibility Prior experience preferred but motivated new graduates encouraged to apply Strong anatomical knowledge and specimen grossing skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
