A well-established hospital laboratory in Maytown, AL is seeking a skilled Pathologists' Assistant to join its anatomic pathology team. This is a full-time position offering a structured day shift schedule and the opportunity to work alongside experienced pathologists in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

On-site in Maytown, AL Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Day Shift (exact hours may vary) Supportive pathology team, modern lab setting, and growth opportunities What You'll Do: Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens
Accession and prepare tissue samples for histologic processing
Assist with intraoperative consultations and frozen sections
Ensure high standards in specimen documentation and handling
Maintain specimen integrity, compliance with safety protocols, and lab readiness
Collaborate closely with pathologists, histotechnologists, and lab staff

Job Requirements
What You'll Need:
Master's degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program (required) Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant PA(ASCP) preferred or eligibility to obtain Strong anatomical knowledge and grossing skills Excellent attention to detail and verbal/written communication Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment Prior hospital-based experience a plus, but not required
