A respected hospital-based laboratory in Lafayette Springs, MS is actively seeking an experienced Pathologists' Assistant to join its team. This is a full-time, day-shift role ideal for a self-motivated professional who is comfortable working independently and handling a broad spectrum of surgical pathology cases.
Location:
On-site in Lafayette Springs, MS Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Day Shift What You'll Do: Perform gross examination and dissection of complex surgical specimens
Accession and prepare tissue for histological processing
Assist with intraoperative consultations and frozen sections as needed
Maintain complete and accurate specimen documentation
Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, and hospital protocols
Collaborate with off-site or on-call pathologists as needed for diagnostic support

Job Requirements
What You'll Need:
Master's degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program (required) ASCP certification (PA) preferred Minimum of 1-2 years of independent experience in surgical pathology (required) Excellent grossing skills and attention to detail Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work autonomously in a solo PA environment
