Software Engineer (Level 2)
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Be More Than You Can Imagine. This Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Software Engineer position - located in Fort Worth, TX - is with the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Mission Systems and Software Comms team supporting an ADP program. The selected candidate will use cutting edge principles, concepts, standards and techniques for developing the software and hardware solutions for complex modern aircraft and battlespaces. Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) solutions, innovative technologies, new ideas, and out of the box thinking is standard within ADP. The selected candidate will be a member within our GNC team, with focus on Navigation and Timing. The position requires a wide range of Aeronautical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering skills from aerodynamics, system-identification, sensor fusion, estimation, optimal filtering using EKF/UKFs, multi-sensor navigation, stability/control, guidance, etc. to develop algorithms from first principles, generate software from models, integrate, and test hardware/software solutions. Expertise with Matlab/Simulink is required, and embedded software development skills are desired. Ability to understand impacts of design-choices on airworthiness and mission/platform performance is essential. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, pro-active communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction, customer interaction, and integration & test activities is required. The successful candidate will need to pass a security screening before interview. Must be a US Citizen.
