Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Litigation Secretary for our client, a respected mid-sized law firm based in San Jose, CA. This position is onsite at their San Jose office.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Secretary to provide support to multiple attorneys within the Civil Litigation and Employment Litigation department. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, advanced document preparation abilities, and strong knowledge of court procedures. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while supporting a collaborative group of attorneys.

Draft, edit, and format correspondence, pleadings, briefs, TOAs, TOCs, and other legal documents Manage attorney calendars, including hearings, meetings, and depositions Handle e-filing and ensure compliance with federal and California state court rules Coordinate client files, expense reports, and administrative requests Collaborate with attorneys and staff to support litigation and departmental needs Maintain efficiency in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong civil litigation background Advanced MS Word and document formatting proficiency Skilled in e-filing with knowledge of both federal and state court systems Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This role offers an hourly rate of $44-$55, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, free onsite parking, access to a gym, and opportunities for growth through annual performance reviews.
