This role will be critical in optimizing operational throughput, enhancing productivity, and enabling scalable growth across distribution centers and transportation channels. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with a background in logistics engineering, lean methodologies, and retail supply chain dynamics.Location: Support Center, 6600 S Bermuda Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119Schedule: Monday - Friday, Weekends as needed, 40 - 50 hours per weekPay: $110,000 - $125,000Job Type: Full-timeBenefits Employee Discount Employer-Paid Life Insurance Flex Time OffDisability Insurance Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Parental Leave401(k) with company match Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain capacity models for distribution centers and transportation to ensure alignment with growth projections and peak season requirements.Analyze volume trends, labor throughput, and equipment constraints to forecast resource requirements.Collaborate with DC Operations to optimize space utilization, storage strategies, and fulfillment workflows.Lead operational efficiency projects focused on labor productivity, process standardization, and cost reduction.Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and industrial engineering principles to streamline processes and eliminate waste.Conduct time studies, process mapping, and root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.Use data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL) to monitor KPIs and drive operational decisions.Support implementation of new systems and automation tools (e.g., WMS enhancements, labor management systems).Generate dashboards and reports to track project impact and supply chain performance.Partner with IT, Distribution, Transportation, and Planning teams to support initiatives across the network.Act as a subject matter expert for engineering-based analysis and logistics modeling.Support new facility design, layout optimization, and capital planning projects as needed.Job RequirementsJob Requirements 5-7 years of experience in supply chain engineering, industrial engineering, or operations improvement.Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (Master's preferred).Experience in capacity planning, labor modeling, and warehouse process design.Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Python).Knowledge of WMS, LMS, and automation technologies is a plus.Lean Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt or higher).Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.Additional Requirements Frequent sittingLimited standing, walking, climbing, crouching, bending, pushing, or pullingLimited travel or overnightOccasional travel or overnightFrequent travel or overnight; including internationalNormal or corrected vision and hearingCan distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns, or materialsFluency in English is required for training, customer interactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures Typically, indoorsTypically, in a consistent temperatureLift 0-25 lbs.Use of fine motor hand functionsAbout UsWHSmith is a leading global travel retailer with over 1,700 stores across 30 countries worldwide.
