We're looking for a driven finance leader to join our fast-growing group of companies in the construction space in Indian Trail, NC. Our client is searching for a Controller/CFO who can build a strong finance function, drive profitability, and help lead the company into its next phase of growth in revenue by 2030. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have the chance to structure your own team and directly shape the financial future of the business.

Lead all finance and accounting operations including reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and payroll Oversee construction and cost accounting, WIP schedules, and AIA billing Build scalable processes and systems to support growth toward revenue goals by 2030 Prepare accurate financial statements and dashboards for leadership visibility Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide decisions Drive profitability through margin analysis, cost control, and job costing Work with the external CPA on compliance, tax planning, and audits Manage banking relationships and support financing needs as growth accelerates Partner with operations and project managers to ensure accurate billing and financial tracking Provide financial guidance on expansion, new opportunities, and long-term strategy Qualifications:
Ambitious, growth-minded finance professional with at least 5 years of experience working within small businesses Strong skills in QuickBooks, financial reporting, and construction accounting Experience creating processes, building teams, and leading through growth Strategic thinker with an eye on scaling the business and preparing for a potential future sale Someone hungry, entrepreneurial, and excited to be part of a high-growth culture
