What Youll Do As a Senior Tax Accountant
Tax Reporting: Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax calculations under ASC 740, including deferred tax and return-to-provision calculations. State Tax Compliance: Support state income tax and franchise tax return preparation, focusing on apportionment and compliance. Collaborative Projects: Work closely with internal teams and external partners on tax-saving strategies, audits, and filings. Tax Filings: Manage federal, state, and local income tax filings, including quarterly estimates, extensions, and withholding payments. Reconciliations & Reporting: Assist in general ledger reconciliations and tax account management, ensuring accuracy in all tax-related transactions. Audit Support: Help manage federal and state income tax audits, responding to auditor queries and handling notices.
What Were Looking for in a Senior Tax Accountant:
Experience: 3-5 years in federal and state income taxes, tax provision, and ASC 740 reporting. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proactive & Detail-Oriented: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Audit & Compliance Knowledge : Experience with tax audits, compliance, and managing tax filings in multiple jurisdiction
