This locum tenens opportunity focuses on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with a rotational schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, including weekend night calls. You will manage a 12-bed unit, ensuring high-quality care for patients aged 12 and older.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment for adolescents and adults
  • Manage and oversee patient care, including pharmacotherapy and ECT when applicable
  • Facilitate patient care during assigned inpatient shifts and call rotations
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, or Board Certified in Psychology with relevant experience
  • Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting
  • Must be able to handle common psychiatric disorders and emergencies
  • Familiarity with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application preferred
Working Hours
  • 7 days on, 7 days off schedule
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with weekend night calls
Skills
  • Proficiency in treating anxiety, affective, personality, and eating disorders
  • Ability to conduct pharmacotherapy and ECT
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with healthcare teams
