Georgia Construction Litigation Attorney [Hybrid/Remote] We are a boutique commercial law firm (9 attorneys) looking for a mid to senior-level attorney (7+ years of experience). We are seeking an attorney passionate about being a true advisor and problem solver for businesses and business owners. We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a strong background in construction and general commercial litigation. Responsibilities:
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Lead all phases of construction-related litigation in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and mediation. Handle pleadings, motion practice, depositions, discovery management, expert coordination, and trial preparation. Represent clients in disputes involving construction defects, payment claims, delays, disruptions, warranty issues, and insurance coverage.
Case Strategy & Management
Develop litigation strategies aligned with client objectives and industry realities. Manage caseloads efficiently, balancing multiple matters and deadlines. Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in litigation tasks.
Mechanics Liens & Bond Claims
Advise and litigate matters involving mechanics liens, payment and performance bonds, and statutory remedies. Enforce or defend against claims to protect clients financial and legal interests.
Client Counseling
Provide ongoing counsel to clients regarding dispute avoidance, claim preservation, and litigation risk assessment. Communicate case developments, litigation risks, and settlement options clearly and effectively.
Business Development
Contribute to the growth of the firms construction litigation practice through client service excellence, networking, and participation in industry associations. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Licensed and in good standing with the state bar (Texas license preferred or ability to waive in). Minimum
7 years of experience
focused on construction litigation. Demonstrated trial and arbitration experience, with proven ability to handle complex cases independently. Expertise in mechanics liens, bond claims, construction defect litigation, and delay/disruption disputes. Strong advocacy skills, including courtroom presence, persuasive writing, and negotiation ability.
