Peraton offers exciting opportunities to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team supporting critical space and intelligence programs, including satellite ground terminals and systems development, deployment, operations, and maintenance. We are seeking a self-starting, cleared Senior Systems Engineer in Herndon, VA. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for: Developing requirements documentation Supporting analysis and allocation of requirements to lower-level systems Coordinating with external customers Supporting design and requirements reviews Developing, maintaining, and exercising system performance models Identifying critical analyses, organizing and performing analysis tasks, system- and design-level trades, algorithm development and evaluation, and defining system architecture to implement algorithms Planning and executing requirements verification Supporting business development and system engineering analysis plans Developing concepts of operation, technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies Ensuring customer or product requirements are systematically converted into total system solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints Planning, executing, and closing projects to meet or exceed objectives Creating project requirements, managing constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality Managing project operations, stakeholders, risks, schedules, budgets, and conflicts Ensuring team members understand and fulfill their roles Coordinating resolution of production problems Establishing relationships with customers, partners, and vendors for system delivery Providing EVMS reporting and managing vendor task integration and deliverables Supervising and evaluating personnel, including staffing, performance, and policy adherence Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, or related fields plus 5 years of experience Minimum TS/SCI clearance with willingness to pass a polygraph within 30 days or upon request Experience in Satellite Ground and Space Operations Desired Qualifications: Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering Experience with wireless digital communication systems, EVMS, Matlab/Simulink/Octave/STK, and automated test environments Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills; ability to collaborate effectively Peraton Overview
