Job Title: CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant
Profession: Surgical Services

Experience: Minimum of 5 years, but will consider 3 years
License: GA or Compact license required
Certifications: BLS, CSFA or NBSTSA, NCCSA accepted
Must-Have: Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, Thoracic experience
Description:
Position requires privileging process prior to start, approximately 120 days from time of signature.
HARD STOP: Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, Thoracic experience required.
Candidate must complete privileging process prior to start.
Candidate will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit.
If clinical pass and within guidelines, the candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision.
Candidates will not be accepted for travel pairs.
No holiday requests can be accepted.
If one or two major holidays occur during assignment, travelers are expected to work during those holidays.
If three major holidays can occur, travelers are expected to work two out of the three.
One holiday request can be reviewed for approval.
Request Time Off guidelines limit to a maximum of 7 days.
This includes one weekend of no call in a four-week timeframe.
Candidates must complete core item submissions and schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract.
Return travelers must complete one successful assignment outside the previous facility prior to rebooking.
Management reserves the right to make necessary adjustments to support the needs of the unit.
Clinical experience in the following procedures is required:
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Cardiac, Vascular surgery, Thoracic surgery, and various laparoscopic procedures.
Candidates must be prepared to float within facility and scope of practice.
Candidates are expected to have experience as a Surgical First Assistant in the CVOR setting.
