American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant with cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic expertise for a day shift operating room role requiring national certification.Job Details•Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room of a hospital setting,•Assist on cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgical procedures,•Day shift schedule (3x12 hour shifts, 6:30 to 19:00),•Call required 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks, subject to departmental needs,•Floating may occur within the facility and to the Main OR as needed,•No blocked scheduling is permitted,Job Requirements•Active GA or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration,•Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential through NBSTSA or NCCSA required,•Minimum of 5 years relevant experience preferred, but candidates with at least 3 years will be considered,•Cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgery experience required,•Must complete privileging process prior to start (allow approximately 3 months),•Two supervisory references (manager or above) strongly preferred,•First-time travelers accepted,Additional Information•Must complete core items and schedule labs within 48 hours of contract signing to ensure on-time start,•Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted; no RTO allowed during major holidays unless three fall within assignment,•Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day,•Holiday coverage expectations depend on the number of major holidays during assignment; specific RTO policy applies,•Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year to be eligible as a traveler,•Compliance must be complete to start on time; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to orientation schedule,•Locals accepted at the same rate,•Return travelers must complete a successful assignment elsewhere if deemed ineligible to return to a prior facility,•Orientation modules are required and will be completed during onboarding,•Travel pairs are not permitted to work the same shift on the same unit,),•hash,:• ,
