American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic experience for a CVOR role requiring 3 years of experience and BLS certification.Job Details•Work in a hospital CVOR as a Certified Surgical First Assistant,•Care for cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgery patients,•Shift is day (3x12 hours), 6:30-19:00,•On-call required 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks, subject to departmental needs,•Float within scope of practice and to Main OR as needed,•First-time travelers accepted,Job Requirements•Minimum of 3 years experience as a Certified Surgical First Assistant,•Current BLS certification,•Hold either CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification,•Experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgeries required,•GA or Compact license required if applicable and must be in hand at the time of consideration,•Two supervisory references from a manager or above are highly preferred,Additional Information•Must complete credentialing and privileging processes prior to assignment start, which may take up to 3 months,•No holiday RTO accepted; expected to work major holidays per assignment rules,•Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed, none permitted during the first week,•Former staff must have a 1-year separation from all Piedmont facilities before returning as a traveler,•Local candidates are accepted at the same rate,•Modules required during orientation, with hours accounted for in the onboarding process,•Return travelers must complete a successful assignment outside of Piedmont before rebooking if previously unable to return,•No blocked scheduling permitted,•Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
