We operate as a hybrid workplace to support work-life harmony. The Team Cloud Efficiency and Analytics is part of Datadogs internal infrastructure team, responsible for cloud cost management. This role involves high-leverage research and initiatives within our infrastructure spend, including modeling costs across clouds, leveraging cloud discounts, and optimizing spend through observability and orchestration data. You will Collaborate with the Cloud Efficiency and Analytics team and company leaders to drive high-visibility projects using quantitative analysis. Learn about monitoring billions of containers across multi-cloud environments and how it relates to infrastructure costs. Use spreadsheets, Spark jobs, and ML algorithms to analyze data and identify trends. Build and test models against real-world data. Break down complex problems into manageable steps to find solutions. Work with engineering leadership and teams across Datadog. You are Detail-oriented and committed to completing work thoroughly. Ownership-driven, developing domain expertise and contributing beyond your immediate tasks. Experienced in Python and SQL. Knowledgeable about major cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure. Passionate about optimization, especially regarding costs. Excellent communicator with experience collaborating across teams. Experienced in data science, visualization, and statistics. Capable of contributing in areas like financial analysis, cloud billing, infrastructure analysis, or data science. Holding a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Benefits and Growth Competitive salary based on performance.
