Job Summary
This position is in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED). The incumbent serves as an expert analyst and advisor to DMPED, responsible for providing analytical, program management, and planning and evaluation services concerning the administrative management and line operating aspects of DMPED's programs. Duties and Responsibilities
Performs long-range planning for proposed changes in assigned functions and programming areas. Develops and implements systems for analyzing and evaluating the objectives, policies, operations, and progress of programs. Provides liaison between the Deputy Mayor’s Office, management staff, and line officials, including analysis and evaluation of performance to guide performance-based budgeting. Conducts statistical studies related to research projects. Discusses issues with government officials and outside representatives to gather information. Identifies problem areas, trends, and concerns based on assessments and recommends corrective actions. Advises on organizational structure and functions to improve efficiency and productivity. Researches, investigates, and conducts feasibility studies to recommend improved management practices. Provides leadership in assessing performance and resource utilization of cluster agencies, utilizing data from reporting systems and meetings. Collects, interprets, and analyzes data for unique management directives. Designs evaluation formats and strategies for comprehensive reviews. Develops program objectives and procedural guidelines. Provides information regarding DMPED’s performance and supports budget development and resource monitoring. Qualifications and Education
Specialized Experience:
At least one (1) year of experience directly related to the position and equivalent to the next lower grade level. Licenses and Certifications
