Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Position Details
  • Position title: Human Resource Manager
  • Reporting relationship: Plant Manager
  • Pay structure: Salary Exempt
Purpose of the position

Manage the full range of Human Resources functions at the plant level.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and administer plant policies and procedures.
  • Lead hiring and onboarding practices to recruit an effective workforce.
  • Maintain up-to-date personnel files for all plant employees.
  • Establish and promote employee relations practices to foster positive employer-employee relationships and engagement.
  • Provide coaching and training for supervisors and managers.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees, handling questions, interpreting policies, and resolving personnel issues.
  • Ensure legal compliance with applicable HR federal and state requirements.
  • Manage employee benefit programs administration.
  • Process hourly employee payroll.
  • Manage workers compensation claims, including filing, administration, and return-to-work processes.
  • Coordinate employee development and counseling with department managers.
  • Assist in developing and implementing job descriptions with department managers.
  • Participate in relevant meetings.
  • Support plant management in safety and quality systems, including environmental and IATF standards.
  • Coordinate and manage training programs and the Training Matrix for the facility.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in HR Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of HR management or generalist experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening, coaching, and training skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, non-verbal).
  • Proven project management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Email, HRIS software (preferably ADP), and payroll systems.
